Maromix produces Geodesic Domes for the first time as the first producer in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East

Thirty years ago, Armas Limited Company was established as a leading company in the manufacture of solid surfaces that we named “Maromix”. It was the first company to manufacture solid surfaces in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East in 1992.

Today, we are proud to be the first Saudi company to design and manufacture geodesic domes in the Kingdom. We may even be the first company in the world to design and implement geodesic domes from the inside and outside, including designing and manufacturing all external and internal contents such as kitchens, bedrooms, sinks, and detailed bedroom furniture according to size and interior partition requirements. Commercial production will start within six months, God willing.

The company and its engineers have invested thousands of man-hours in developing the manufacturing process of these domes based on engineering principles that specialize in this unique type of construction. A specialized team was formed within Armas to follow up on the design and manufacture of geodesic domes using modern and specialized computer programs and techniques in this field with the help of European specialists in this field and using high-quality materials to achieve the required objectives.

Armas is keen on providing high-quality products and innovative designs to meet our customers’ needs, using our long experience in this field. We work to provide solutions according to customers’ requirements and according to each need separately to provide geodesic domes that are distinguished by quality and durability to meet the requirements for which they are built. The domes will meet the needs of the tourism and service sectors, in line with achieving the goals of Vision 2030 and supporting sustainable development in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Geodesic houses are environmentally friendly homes. They consume a minimum amount of material compared to their counterparts of the same area and in a short execution time. Geodesic structures are among the strongest structures and are the most resistant to winds and earthquakes compared to other prevailing building systems. The domes’ design results in reduced electricity consumption for for heating and cooling by up to 30%, compared with other buildings.

It is worth noting that Maromix has doubled production by installing a new production line in mid-2022 and is in the process of installing another new production line in the coming months to cover increasing demand. Additionally, we have developed a plan for the production of geodesic domes and the machines needed in this regard and in line with market expectations.
